I would contact the sponsor let them know what you got maybe send them a pic and ask that they send you a replacement. Don't inject that. I believe that is the actual gear recrysralizing. I heard of this happening to test and people heating it up slightly to get it to reincorporate but personally I would not want to have to deal with that all together and just see if the sponsor will make it right.
