Trying to out-crunch your diet

No, doing 100 crunches a day will not burn off that kebab so stop wasting your time. The secret to visible abs isn’t how many crunches you can do but how low your body fat percentage is.
You won’t burn off that excess fat by doing endless crunches, you can train your abs all you want but no one will ever see them if you don’t have your diet in check. Amalgamating cardio workouts, abs exercises and a strict diet is the golden triangle to six-pack*

People like to feel that abdominal burn, thinking the fat will disappear from their stomachs and that their core will become strong.
That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Crunches and sit-ups just can’t reach those “deep” core muscles – in this case, the transverse abdominis – that need to be strengthened.

Store-bought salads can quickly turn a*healthy meal*into a fat bomb when the add-ons and dressing are applied to the greens.

Check out how many calories are in the salad

And then look at the calories with the dressing that’s provided. Sometimes it’s nearly double!

Other salad fixins like bacon bits, cheese, croutons, dried fruits and nuts can also cause the calorie count to skyrocket if they’re not used in moderation. An easy three-step remedy could be to purchase pre-washed bagged salad and something similar to Trader Joe’s Healthy 8 Veggie Mix (which contains—you guessed it, eight different types of veggies). Then add two tablespoons of oil and vinegar or another light dressing, and you’re set.
