The cheapest I've found works the best for me. Eggs/chicken breasts/tuna, favorite low carb protein powder, as many raw vegetables and fruit as you want. I wouldn't eat 6 pounds of blue berries every day but it's hard to over indulge calorie wise when everything is raw.
Also try to have that last meal 2-3 hours before bed and if you can get in a light workout before bed like a walk, 20 minutes of jump rope, etc. Burning off those last calories before sleep works wonders for me.
I completely avoid dairy (don't even do protein shakes) and keep aas at a decent level (400 mg of test give or take) to help spare the muscle tissue. It takes a week or 2 to get used to this diet but the effect is dramatic. I can drop 30 pounds in a month easily.

Don't eat lol. Chicken Brest and broccoli. Bake a lot of the breast so you can microwave when needed. Add and ADHD meds are great appetite suppressers fruit for snacks.

How much weight do you figure you need to drop to lose the gut?
Since you mentioned being on a budget, I'd suggest upping the cardio to around an hour a day. JMHO on that.
If you could squeeze it, Clen really helps drop the lbs.
