Fasting before a blood test?

Is it really necessary to fast for 12 hours before a bold test?

depends what test you in for
if its full blood test and want glucose check then yes
if its health ie test levels estrogen , colesterol
then i would say not as important
but hey thats just my advice

If the doc says you need to fast, then fast!!

lol! ok I'll fast. 12 hours is like missing 7 meals:eek: I am going to go first thing in the morning so I won't be hungry all day.

so have your last meal at 8pm, go to the doctors at 8 or 9am the following morning get bloods done, have breakfast!
I can't see a problem here and I certainly can't see why you would miss 7 meals unless you wake up every hour during ther night to eat, if anything you'll just be delaying breakfast until you've finished in the docs

thts really a no brainer there.. when u have food in ur body, ur body is in machine mode delivering all kind of nutrients to the blood stream and all kinds of things are on different levels and its impossible to geeat a correct count on how ur body is doing... deff. fast.. its like writing on aa chalk board thts already got tons of writing on it..
