Post Craig Titus Talks

by Craig Titus

Do you think that most up and coming aspiring bodybuilders place far too much emphasis on drugs?

No, I don’t think so at all. The problem isn’t young rookie bodybuilders placing too much emphasis on drugs, the problem are professional bodybuilders being less than forthcoming as to the importance of anabolic androgenic steroid use.

The reality is that AAS are equally as significant as the training, nutrition and proper supplementation, but for whatsoever reason professional bodybuilders continue to down play the vital and completely necessary role drugs play in their careers.

They carry on with the façade that steroids play a minor role with their success. They proceed to be vague when answering drug related questions and almost never disclose their AAS cycle in print. It is for these reasons that the up and coming new generation of bodybuilders places so much emphasis on the performance enhancing drug aspect of bodybuilding. The other information is readily available on the internet in abundance.
An amateur bodybuilder can browse through literally hundreds or even thousands of web-sites indicated with information in regard to training techniques, or the latest muscle building supplements or how many grams of protein to consume per pound of body weight.
Web-site forums openly discuss how pro’s prepare for shows with little to no mentions of the drugs they utilize.

At any time aspiring bodybuilders can read about Rich Gasparis opinion and application of protein powders in addition to his meals… incidentally his powder of choice is Gaspari Nutrition’s MyoFusion Advanced and he believes that more of tour meals should come from solid food. But what he doesn’t say is that without using steroids, it’s not possible for him to look the way he does at 50 years of age!!! That’s not a bad thing, or meant to be derogatory in anyway, it’s just reality. Rich fails to disclose how many milligrams of testosterone he injects weekly, or if he implements anavar as a secondary anabolic?

You see, this information is equally important as what protein powder uses. Because the information as to how pro bodybuilders use anabolic androgenic steroids is almost never discussed, amateur athletes spend more time searching and seeking out this knowledge giving the appearance more emphasis is placed on drugs.

The problem isn’t novice bodybuilders placing more emphasis on drugs, the problem lies with pro’s refusing to admit steroids in bodybuilding are equally as important as their training, supplementation and nutrition.

I have said it before and I will say it again….. you cannot be an IFBB pro bodybuilder without proper nutrition, extreme weight training, adequate rest and drugs. If you remove any one of the aspects of the sport from your regimen, it is literally impossible to become a professional bodybuilder.

This fact clearly demonstrates drug/AAS are equally important!! Point is, the same emphasis placed on training, nutrition, supplements and rest should certainly be placed on the chemical aspect of bodybuilding!!!
