Default The best part of this forum and the gear we use

Its comments you get from stranger and distance acquaintances
examples that keep me going

In Afghanistan I ran into a dog handler that i hadn't seen in months. Last time I saw him I had been in A stan about 4 months and was at my lightest 168lbs

About a year later on my way out run into him and the first thing out of his mouth was ' WOW YOU LOOK STRONG, Been working out?

Made me feel pretty good that the gear was working

Im home and start my new job.I have to take a PT test. First one in damn near 20 years. Absolutely no sweat. Im stronger now than I was at my best in the Army

Two weeks ago I was a guess speaker at a small men's group. Out out if the blue one of the guest comments " You are really is good shape" I said thanks, I try to keep healthy

Wife saw me right after a arm/chest day. I do admit I was pretty pumped up.
I walk in and she say " Wow." then takes another look and says " No Really, WOW, you look great. "

Well the ego swells as well as other parts of the body. It was a good night. No I'm not taking Deca so NO ISSUES!!

So many time we don't see what we really look like. If you are like me, a former FAT guy, you tent to not see that you are making progress and actually look good. At 56 I told I look in my 40s. I feel in my 20s and have no thoughts of slowing down

My life changed with this forum. My health and body have changed with the gear suggested by this forum

Im just starting.
I plan to compete in a senors bodybuilding context when I reach 60 so I need to get working.

Main thing now is fat/extra skin/water loss and growing. I figure I can fill alot of the skin with muscle. The fat around the belly simply has to go one way or another.

Remember I started at 315 lbs SO there is some stretched skin that may just have ti be removed Ill see.

At my job I'm the oldest one there. Oldest by about 10 years but I'm one of the most fit. We have a 200 mile relay run coming up in a couple months. My boss is looking to me to get the younger guys in line. Seems Im the only one so far that has stepped up to the plate and said Id do the run. God i hope it is not more than I can chew so to speak That would be embarrassing
