I am a big fan of the ellipticle machine because it is the perfect center between a flat walker and the stair climber.

You get all the benefits of the stair climber with less impact to your knees.

The flat walker is for injured, someone with bad knees, out of shape, elderly.

The ellipticle burns more calories and improves cardio vascular function, and shapes your legs and butt.

The stair climber is a better butt machine, but harder on your knees.

I vote the ellipticle the best well rounded cardio machine for the average person.

I agree the elliptical is great because of little resistance but the truth is anything that gets your heart going and your body sweating is going to get close to the same results.

Well to throw ya ll a little twist i find cardio quite boring and can t stand it.The way i work around this is to start off for 15 min on the exercise bike then do 5 sets of 20 reps for abs, soon as i am done with that i get back on the bike and repeat until i have done 45 min cardio and 300 reps for abs.

Default Cardio

I think the type of cardio is dependent on a few variables. If I am just in the off season, bulking, I just hop on an elliptical for 20min 2-3 times a week at high intensity. If I am dieting on a keto I would vouch for a L.I.S.S. (low intensity steady state) form of cardio below 130bpm as I will have no glucose to burn up and high intensity would go after muscle. Also a few weeks out from a competition I would be on a stair mill (stair stepper if it's not available) to really bring out those striated glutes.

I prefer jogging on empty stomach and treadmill, tell me more how do you practice low intensity training?
