For my arms, I have started enjoy doing heavy to light sets of 1-10 reps.
For example, I do the preacher curl with the full stack for 1 rep, then lighten the load by 1 pin and do 2 reps, then again for 3 reps until u have done 10 reps on the final set!!It is brutal but works really well, best done with a partner as this will help to keep the speed of weight change fluid.

I've been running a complete workout with 3 sets each exercise, first set of 5 at your max, second set of 10 at a medium weight, and third set of 20 at a lighter weight but you must complete that final set!

drop sets are a good platue breaker... i would really do it for ur main training as this could lead to loss of muscle mass.
