Almonds appear to help slow graying hair. According to the September â11 Prevention, high levels of the enzyme catalase can prevent hydrogen peroxide buildup in hair follicles, which is what turns hair gray.
Lattes could be adding lots to your calorie load and ab-blurring bellyfat. One 20-ounce Starbucks latte has about 300 calories, according to the July/August â11 Health. Better to go with black coffee, a splash of half-and-half and sweetenerâabout 25 calories.
Wild rice may be a better choice than brown rice. According to the November â10 Better Nutrition, wild rice has â25 fewer calories and five fewer grams of carbs than brown rice per half-cup servingâ¦. Wild rice is a relative caloric and carbohydrate bargain.â
Saturated fat is not found in artery-clogging plaque. Thatâs what a landmark study published in 1994 in The Lancet found. Plaque contains more than 10 different compounds, according to the May/June â10 Well-Being Journal, none of which consist of saturated fat.
