The 30 - 45 minute window after training or events is a crucial time during which the body races to recover as quickly as possible. I think I read something else you wrote that goes along with this saying that a certain percentage of you carbs should be eaten post work out. I try and eat a lot of brown rice post work out along with a weight gaining shake.
