surly everyone hates it
So been catching up on some cardio articles and seen so many different opinions, such as slow and steady, or all out full pace, or mixing it up with interval training... then the issue of on weight training day or off, if on weight training day, either before or after weight training.. Which have you tried? and which works best for you fellas?

Slow and steady
Basically when I feel like it, I will do cardio on training days but always 4 or 5 hours after training |
dont do cardio when wieght train as do it in my lunch so dont have time
but lately been doing it first thing in morning (fasted) just get up hour early 30 mins cardio then shower and then ready for day for wieght loss this has seemed to work well for me plus i find im more ready for the day and feel better all day also some evenings i do boxing witch takes the boredom out of cardio and get pushed hard due to trainer pushing you |
Used to love all forms of cardio - cycling, running, punchbags, rowing and especially circuit training.
But now this bastard thing called old age is dragging me down I tend to use slow and steady for longer periods to cut fat. Keep your heart rate low and your body burning fat, not glycogen and you will cut fat not muscle. Works for me anyway! |
ectomorph here
im a ectomorph.. i could not get fat or gain excess weight if i tried,, and believe me ive tried..lol i burn anywhere form 1000 to 1600 calories daily just by doing normal activities ,, im hyperactive and my brain never turns off lmao.. if i miss a meal i start to loose weight..lol i pound out about 4000 to 4500 calories daily just to see steady gains.. cardio would release to much cortisol in my blood stream and kill my gains.. lol
