Prolab Nutrition Inc Product recall!!
A nutritional supplement company based in the San Fernando Valley in California is recalling several of its protein supplement products after it emerged there was improper labelling on the containers.
The protein supplements were sold with an ingredient list on the labels that fails to mention a number of ingredients which might cause serious allergy problems.
Prolab Nutrition Inc. issued a press release at the weekend to warn people that have bought their protein supplements that they may contain wheat, gluten and other products that can cause allergic reactions including eggs, Brazil nuts, peanuts, cashews and several other types of nut.
As soon as it became clear that some products may not have a fully comprehensive list of ingredients, Prolab initiated a recall of the affected products and issued the press release to warn consumers of the potential dangers.
The products in question include various whey protein powders available in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavours, all of which have been sold throughout 33 states in the US, as well as in Canada, Russia, Australia and Malaysia.
The company is keen to point out that the only problem with the products is the labelling, and that for the most part users will have absolutely no problems with their whey protein powders. However, for the small minority that do have potentially life-threatening allergies, using these products could have very serious consequences.
