Between the years 2000 and 2004, the home runs per game was a MASSIVE 1.10 (in the year 2014, the number was approx .99). But forget all of the averages of the entire players — what about the average statistics for the “power” guys that everybody comes to the stadium to see? Well, the amount off “40-home run players” is DRASTICALLY different nowadays than it was in the “steroid era.
