In the video below, which I'm sure many have already seen, Arnold speaks about the state of modern bodybuilding competition. We all see state of the modern bodybuilder's gut. There is little doubt that symmetry has made way for size.
In today's world of bodybuilding, these guys are stepping on stage at 240-250lbs pounds or more! In the offseason weighing 50 pounds more than that. Many seem to blame this on the insane level of steroid use. That the culprit is HGH and massive contains of anobolics. This is a logical position to take. I for one thing the pros today lost something as compared with those of the V-Taper Arnold is right, the competitors that win today just don't look as good as the Sergio Olivia, Frank Zane, and Arnold etc. They're bigger, stronger even, but more aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion they are not.
What do you think? Is Arnold right, has bodybuilding changed for the worse.
