Went to gym for a quickie but ended up there much longer than planned
jumped on a treadmill to check my vo2, basically running for 12 mins and checking distance i did 2.79km check your vo2 max here 12 Minute Run I then did 20 mins of hill work, 5% incline running at 13km and fast walking at 7km at 2 minute intervals Then I trained my legs FUUUUUUCK it was a good leg workout, straight off the treadmill and my legs were on fire, was leg pressing much more than usual and my 'niggle' in my left calf was practically gone so I could crack on and train them. Finished off with some arms Feeling goood |

hey ogy when your next running event? I know you got one planned. |
I missed that Dave, good post, thankfully it hasn't been back
Cheers Kf, tbh though i was a bit embaressed with the lack of time spent doing cardio on that post lol i was just logging my vo2 I do much more than I log on here, Sniper saw me out the other day, I'd taken the dog out with me for 4.5 miles, had him sat at the side of the road waiting to cross and sniper beeped his horn at me in his big fuck of Chrysler, my dog shit itself and bolted across the road hahaha Skinny, I had a 10k run last weekend and another early in November but the next Hell run is on Nov 27th then we've signed up for another 26 mile orienteering hike the sunday after. I've had to cut back a bit as I've started a business and just can't find the bloody time, plus they are like £30 each to enter!!! |
nice early 45 min run
not sure of distance but won't be far off 8k, not overly fast but my trail run is becoming way too boggy to do speed work Also had a cracking session with the missus last night AND this morning so that's my cardio done for today :D And an almighty skip in my step ' walks of whistling a happy tune' Have a great weekend all :D:D |
I keep talking about not running so much and hitting the gym more and more mate, takes a fair old time to recover these days but it never seems to happen though
I love getting muddy as fuck and pushing myself to the limit of endurance. (I know you guys understand lol) I mainly run trail these days so the gym work for me at the moment is mainly core strengthening and I'm trying to build up my legs (I have never trained my legs in the gym but see other trail runners with big fuck off tree trunk legs) How much cardio do you do KF?, It would be interesting to see how much distance you can cover on a treadmill for 12 mins (the old sports scientist in me) |
kf you're a fucking monster, I bet i'd feel the earth shuddering over here if you ran down the street!!!
Started a new plan today, I proper need to shift a stone I've been carrying around for way too long stone and half if poss!! However I ended up working later than I hoped so I squeezed a quick 3.5 miles one in but put a 15lb bag on my back. |
Went to the gym today and trained abs and lower back for 30mins
Was gonna hit some weights and do shoulders but there was a milf on one of the concept 2 rowers, before I knew it I was on the one next to her, big old mirror in front of us :D:D:D And stroke............ And stroke........... And stroke.......... hahahaha ended up finishing my workout on the rower, 35 mins Also fired off a 3.5 mile bag run last night. Struggling like fuck to find the time to cram sessions in lately |
7 miles today gonna head over to the gym later if no work comes in too
Feeling awesome lately Burning fat sharpish now, lost 6lb and starting to look more ripped finally lol I knew there were abs under there :D just signed up for this bruiser Choice of distances, 17,26 or 33 miles on t'moors, minimal road usage I'll aim for the 26 but hopefully fire off the 33 Home - Osmotherley Phoenix Got the 42 mile lyke wake in mind to run too, hiked it a few time but to run the 42 I'll need to be in ridiculous shape |
Loving it, job cancelled on me so it was rush free gym time today!!!
Trained my core, working the abs good and proper today Little bit of chest (incline and flat) and triceps Then 35 mins hammering the treadmill, full hills prog at 10-15kmph Then a 10 minute rest and hit the legs These squats are brutal!! Really starting to feel the benefit of training my legs more, I'm getting much more out of them when running hills. |
