Aaaaaah, ok. That's a good idea to talk to the front desk at the gym.
I have been doing more research today and my focus has been on determining which personal trainer certification I should apply for as this seems to be a general requirement. I have been reading around as to which are the best personal trainer certifications such as this list which ranks ACE and NASM at the top. They seem to be highly recognized and NCAA accredited. Anyone have any experience with one of these? Do you recommend going with one over the other? Or neither? Any insight would be most appreciative. Best, Ben |

Ok, in case anybody is wondering. I have done more research online as well as talked to personal trainers and they told me this:
1. The clients don't care where you are certified from 2. Lots of gym require you to be certified and many required that the certification be from an NCAA accredited certification 3. They may or may not give some preference to the more recognized certifications such as NASM and ACE, but that is only for some. The rest are pretty indifferent. Hope this helps. If anybody has comments on this or wants to contribute more, please by all means I would love some insight. |
