has anyone done upper lower training split
was thinking week1 mon- upper tue - lower weds -upper thrs - lower fri - upper week 2 mon - lower tue - upper weds - lower thrs - upper fri - lower or would be best to have upper lower then rest day in between thing is i like to train everyday as splits my work day up as do it in lunch want to try something new that havnt done was thinking german volumes but its fitting it in in lunch break so any suggestions are welcome |
for me to train the entire upper or lower body in one training session is alot of work...theres no way I can pull it off and if I do.... I wouldnt be able to take each muscle group to failure and thats how I get the most growth from each muscle. I would put a rest day in between like you said and make sure you eat a TON and get lots of sleep so you dont "overtrain"

I haven't got the staying power of you youngsters but for me to do an entire upper or lower body workout with the required intensity would need 3 days off. With the exception of the 5 x 5 plan, as far as I can remember I've always done chest, back, shoulders, legs in that order. I vary the rep range, the rest days and the actual exercises but that's the order. |
was only thinking compounds
bench overhead press row deads tri/bi so not over working have to have litttle re think |
My workouts are always based around compounds. Very few isolation exercises these days. Probably just some shoulder stuff. Seems to work for me. |
