Protein bars
Makes 10 bars
INGREDIENTS 8 scoops chocolate protein powder 1 cup oatmeal 1/2 cup natural peanut butter 1/4 cup low fat milk 4 tbsp honey 3 tbsp pure cocoa powder 3 tbsp crushed almonds DIRECTIONS 1. Mix together the protein powder,oatmeal, peanut butter,honey,milk and cocoa powder 2. Form into 10 bars and then roll in the crushed almonds to finish 3. Place in the fridge for about 30 minutes PER SERVING Calories 253 Protein 25g Carbohydrates 18g Fats 9g |

Do you think it would work out if I added some coconut oil to the recipe to beef up the calories a bit? |

I never really bothered to make protein bars before but I might give it a shot . I usually buy the Quest Protein Bars by far the best protein bars I've ever had . The new flavor Cookies 'N' Cream forget about it ! Done deal ! Only 3g net carbs 1g sugar 21g protein . Didnt mean to hijack your thread :D But your recipe looks g2g . I have alot of time now since I got layed off

Just made a batch. Added coconut oil and didn't roll in nuts, but delicious all the same. They set a lot better than I was expecting when I first rolled them out.
Trouble is, they are so moreish! |
