Default Hello All.

First day so please forgive my newbie questions/comments. I am a 51 year old male in what I would consider good shape. After a wellness check up in February 2014 blood work was great, blood pressure was great, but I weighed in at 255 lbs. and I am 6'1" so I was obviously overweight. I modified my diet, high protein, low carbs and started doing weight training again for the first time since high school. Very please to say that my 2015 wellness check everything was still good and my weight was down to 208 lbs and I feel great. I have always wondered about trying steroids but just never did. Any suggestions/cycle and diet recommendations? Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to any responses.

Hi mate. We're fairly similar in age. Main difference is that I never stopped training.

At the age if 52 I joined the steroids club and haven't had a single doubt about having done so. I probably bore some of the younger members with my cautious approach. So having the said that my first cycle was a 16 week at 500mg Test E and a few weeks of anavar thrown in at the end. By the time I used the anavar I knew I was having no sides worth worrying about.

I'd definitely recommend a cycle of Test E. I wasn't aiming for the Olympia and would have been happy just to gain a tiny bit and not feel knackered all the time. But the cycle surpassed all that. I lost quite a bit of fat while gaining quite a bit of muscle and energy levels are much better.

I seem to recover reasonably easily between cycles so being elderly doesn't seem to be a hindrance. To be honest I can't really think of a reason not to go for it. Just don't do stupid amounts and you'd probably see very little worsening in your already good blood stats. Mine are also good. Whether we're naturally lucky or we eat and live properly we've both got a valuable head start health wise.

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions just ask.

I'm in the same boat, bro.
I'll be 53 this year. For the past two years, I maintained 260 pounds but my health was fine. Never diabetic and worked at lowering my blood pressure. Now I'm 204 and hope to gain another 20 pounds.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for choice to be part of hypermuscles.com forum.

I think it all depends on your goals and how you feel.

If you feel lack of energy, slower recovery and want an edge I think the thoughts stillgoingstron posted are worth to be considered plus he is almost same age and his experience in such cases matters.

As long as you are healthy and ready for it why not?

Thanks to everyone on this forum for talking me out of an all oral cycle. I am in week 7 of a 12 week test E cycle with a dbol kicker to start off....I could not be happier! I will admit that the first couple of pins were a challenge, but once I got past the "oh shit I'm putting a needle into my ass" stage, which for me was week 3 so my 5th or 6th pin, it is easy. I am amazed at you can actually feel and see your muscles growing. I am 51 and I haven't felt this good since my late 20's. I have the utmost respect for all of you, I have given this 100% effort and it has paid off. The diet, the 3 a.m. alarm going off, the puking after doing my leg work out, its all been worth it. If you are new to the forum list to these men and women, they know what they are talking about, and take their advise, it will pay off. Thank you all again!

It's great to hear that senior citizens like us are still workout out hard. People at the gym don't believe me when I tell them i'm over 50 and have 3 grand kids. At this stage I pretty much blast and cruise and my blast aren't anything over the top but I like to run them a little longer.

Always checking my blood pressure and getting labs done on my own. Everything looks good and I'm not on any meds at all.

So keep up the good work and always look out for your health.

You know being 27 I enjoy nothing more than seeing a man in the gym that is in his 50s slam weight and getting the grind on! It motivates me and shows me that people no matter the situation are still motivated to push and strive for the best in them.

And my advice start with some test E 500 MG a week lots of protein and enjoy!
