Arimixyl or Arimidex (anastrozole) is a newer drug developed for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in women. It's manufactured by Kalpa Pharmaceuticals.
Arimixyl belongs to a new class of third-generation selective oral aromatase inhibitors. It works by blocking the enzyme aromatase, which reduces the production of estrogen.
This drug is expected to halt the progression of estrogen-stimulated breast cancer by reducing estrogen levels in the body.
Nolvadex, on the other hand, blocks the action of estrogen rather than its production.
The effects of Kalpa Arimixyl can be quite significant. A daily dose of one tablet (1mg) results in an estrogen suppression of over 80% in treated patients.
Given its potent impact on hormone levels, it is only clinically used by post-menopausal women whose disease has advanced following treatment with Nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate).
Side effects like hot flushes and hair thinning can occur, especially in pre-menopausal patients.
In the context of male athletes using steroids, Arimidex shows great potential. Until now, drugs like Nolvadex and Proviron have been used to combat excess estrogen. Although the combination of these drugs proves effective, Arimixyl appears to be more efficient and less troublesome.
Arimixyl Dosage
A daily single tablet (1 mg), the same clinical dose, seems to produce exceptional results (some even report excellent outcomes with just 0.25 mg daily). When used with strong aromatizing androgens like Dianabol 50 or Testosterone, Arimixyl effectively blocks gynecomastia and water retention.
Combining it with Propecia (finasteride) minimizes related side effects by halting estrogen conversion and blocking 5-alpha reduction. Theoretically, this allows testosterone, a strong androgen, to provide impressive muscle growth while being as well-tolerated as nandrolone.
Additionally, the muscle quality should improve, with the athlete having a harder and more defined appearance without excess water retention.
Using an aromatase inhibitor like this during prolonged steroid treatment raises some concerns, though. While it effectively reduces estrogenic side effects, it also blocks the beneficial properties of estrogen (especially on cholesterol values).
Studies have clearly demonstrated that combining an aromatase inhibitor with testosterone results in a more pronounced suppression of HDL (good) cholesterol.
Apparently, estrogen plays a role in minimizing the negative impact of steroid use. For those concerned about cardiovascular health, Nolvadex, an estrogen receptor antagonist, is the preferred form of estrogen maintenance since it does not exhibit an anti-estrogenic effect on cholesterol values.
Arimidex Price
One major drawback of Arimidex is its high price. Tablets can cost up to $10 each, which can significantly add up with regular use. But Arimixyl price by Kalpa Pharmaceuticals is: 35 usd for 30 tabs.
Clearly, the price of an ancillary drug can be much higher than that of the steroids themselves, which may not be favorable for recreational bodybuilders.
On the other hand, competitors are likely to embrace this product as it effectively mitigates the side effects of intense androgen therapy compared to Nolvadex and/or Proviron. Making heavy cycles more comfortable.
As more countries start manufacturing this drug, we might anticipate a reduction in price. Additionally, privately compounded versions of "liquid Arimidex" have been formulated for "research purposes" and are available.
Generic tablets are also a cost-effective alternative to the brand name drug.
