I feel your pain mate. I do shifts and there are nights when I don't sleep at all and don't make up for it during the day. And then it seems the more tired I get the less I'm able to sleep. I will say that it doesn't seem to affect my training and growth like all the 'experts' seem to say it will! Finally cracked it last week. Took 5g valium and three large glasses of white wine and slept for about 7 hours. As I don't really drink alcohol I can't see me making it a regular routine. As for OTC stuff, I've never found anything that works |

I usually sleep from 11 to 6 so that more normal in comparison with "stillgoingstron" and I had times when I worked during nights so I know how that feels to not sleep during nights, personally it was very hard to me.
A little of red wine befor bed helps me when I am so tired and stressed. I wish all of you to find solution to lack of sleep. May be a better job or a personal business.

I find that Valium/Diazapam is an excellent sleep aid, I work days and nights on 12 hour shifts so sleep is hard to come by. I normally get between 3 and 6 hours per night/day. I don't use them all the time but if you have one of those days and you just can't sleep, half a tab will do the job.
I find if I'm tired or lethargic that Modafinil is excellent, it's a mood brightening, memory enhancing psychostimulant that really helps(a lot of students use it when studying for exams)
