How many hours sleep do you get per night?

I'm lucky if I manage 6hrs on work days as i work shifts and have young children really working on trying to get 7-8.
Sleep is a very important part of building muscle. Your muscles grow more in your sleep than they do any other time. We also know that you should really get 8+ hours of sleep per night |
I can't sleep without a sleeping pill and even so all I get is 6 hours. I work irregular shifts and that messes up with sleep patterns.
