Oh boy, here we go.

Ok, here is where my Peogressive side kicks in. Here me out.

I don't think it's always so simple as lazy, but sure, it often is. And for those instance, there is likely other root causes, but I'm not sure.

I do know this, statistically, fat shaming has the opposite impact, leading to depression and even worse eating habits.

But whatever, if that's the way so one wants to treat another human, so be it.

But let's not pretend we're doing it to help them, because for the most part, it's not helping them.

Lastly, sometimes, it's a issue of health, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorder, etc.

Sure, a person can choose to fight, but the thyroid can cause depression, leading to a whole host of both mental and physical ailments that lead to uncontrollable fat gain.

For those with a disease, I'm sure fat shaming is gonna do nothing for the person being shamed.


Having said this, sometimes, people just don't care, and are content being fat.
