Too much in one go is the problem. A gallon spread over the day won't harm you. A gallon in one go will probably kill you. It's mainly to do with diluting salts and other necessary minerals in your blood too much.

One thing I've learned over the years is that studies to discredit other studies happen all the time. If we believed everything we ever read about a new danger or health benefit we'd all blow our brains out.

If you don't feel ill or run down or in any other way feel you're suffering from excess water intake then you're probably not drinking too much.


And as Eazy said at the start of the thread, eating foods that eliminate rather than add to our fluid levels has got to be good.
